Charlie's card!

Hello!  There is only 5 day's until Christmas and I have been working on this little card for my Grandson's first Christmas.  I like it so much that I have decided to enter it in the Heart 2 Heart challenge "Season's Greetings"!

Although the paper is not from CTMH, a lot of the products are.  The cute little fox is from a retired Christmas stamp set.

I used the Shaker thin cuts- Z4309, the shaker foam and acetate- Z4310, the loose sequins in gold- Z4235.  You can find all of these products here!  https://paperdivas.closetomyheart.com/retail/search.aspx?searchvalue=shaker+kits

I also used our Season of Joy digital Cricut Cartridge for the Baby's first Christmas banner and if you hurry, you can get that here.  https://paperdivas.closetomyheart.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=9406&ci=12020.

I used some gold stickles to dress up the banner.  I also used our craft paper on this card which you can find here.  https://paperdivas.closetomyheart.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=5782&ci=5952

Here is the inside of the card:

The little Santa hat is from a retired mini stamp, Little Saint Nick!  The rocking horse was on top of the banner I used on the front of the card, I just cut it off.  The believe in the magic came from the Holiday sparkle bundle we had but the stamp set is no longer available.

I sure hope Charlie like's his first Christmas card and I hope all of you do too!

Merry Christmas,

Ronda

Christmas is almost here!

Yes, Christmas is almost here!  I love getting together with the whole family!  We don't buy a bunch of presents, just one $25 neutral gift to exchange between the adults.  My Mom buys all the great grandkids presents though!  We all bring an appetizer to share and we usually play some kind of game that involves some small gifts.  All ages can play!  We have a great day!  I hope you do too!

Now a little Close to my Heart news!  There are so many specials going on right now, you really should go check them out.  There is even a new Valentine's one.  Here is a link if you want to check them out.  Just click on promotions!  https://paperdivas.closetomyheart.com/Retail/Products.aspx?CatalogID=271.

There are only 14 more days to shop out of the current idea book.

There are some really nice papers and embellishments that will be retiring so get them while you can.  Here are some pictures of the papers!

Story by Stacy

Hello!  If you haven't seen or tried the Close to my Heart Story by Stacy products by Stacy Julian, now is the time.  These little book are so cute and durable.  The pages are sewn in.  She walks you through step by step how to write a story using your 4 x 4 pictures.  These little Story starter album would make the best Christmas presents for anyone.  You could complete the book yourself and give it to them finished or give it as a gift to someone you think would like to do one themselves.

There is also two adorable stamp sets that are optional but I think are a mush have if you are a scrapbooker.

Handmade Christmas Cards!

Well here it is December 2nd and as usual, I am a bit behind on getting my Christmas cards made.

I wanted to show you how I get a jump start every year as long as CTMH has a nice Christmas PML (picture my life) pack.  I made these cards in a matter of a couple hours using the cut apart sheet in our Tis the Season paper pack and the PML card pack "Christmas List"!  Now I have 17 cards made and I can duplicate some of them because you get 2 sheets in the paper pack.  Some of those I saved for scrapbooking.

Now just look at all of those beautiful cards.  I used a little bit of the Tis the season papers and the Tis the season Compliment pack, which I love so much, I bought 3 of those!  Here is a picture of that.

There are chipboard pieces, glitter pieces and stickers which are quite thick.  I can see some beautiful scrapbook layouts in my future too!

Here is a picture of the PML cards in the book.  It just shows a few of them.

This is the cut apart sheet from the paper pack.  They are 2 sided and a couple of them have a different design on the other side.
A few of the other items I used are our beautiful red pearls, random sequins, and gold gems.  I also used Candy Apple, Fern, New England Ivy and Charcoal inks and cardstock.  Which of course  you can get all of those supplies at paperdivas.ctmh.com.

Well that's it for today.  I hope you have a wonderful day and I will be posting more in a couple of day!  Hugs!

Mixed Media!

I don't know why, but for some reason, every winter I get my mixed media supplies out and start playing again.  Maybe it is because I have more time with no Gardening and things to do outside.

It took me a couple of days but I finished this Christmas card, which I may just keep for myself.

I used the cricut and some CTMH products for this but I also used Lyndy's sprays and some Tim Holtz paints.  I just ordered a bunch of products from the Ranger inks website, (you have to love those 40% off sales) so that will hold my interest for a while!

Keep your eyes open for some more mixed media projects.

I may put a little something in the left hand corner, but other than that, I really like it!

Have a nice crafty day

November Stamp of the month!

Happy Monday!  It is November 26th and Here in Mason Michigan we are getting about 6 inches of snow.  I need to get out to the store for the Cyber Monday sale!  Arrrrg!  Since I have retired, I absolutely hate driving in the snow.  Oh well you have to do it to get those deals , right???

I wanted to show you a card that I have made with the Close to my Heart Stamp of the Month!  This is one of the nicest stamp sets and it is only $5 with a $50 order or you can buy it out right for $18.95.  Either way, it is a must have.  So beautiful!  If you take a look, see all those cute little things you can hang on the trees!
Get yours here:  paperdivas.ctmh.com.

I just love this set and here is a Christmas card I made with it.

The trees are done with 3rd generation stamping.  You stamp once with the stamp inked and then two more times without adding ink.

Well, my Hubby is out snow blowing the drive and I am hoping the snow plow will come through before I am ready to go to the store.

Enjoy the rest of your November.  You might see another post before the end of the month!

Happy card making,

Ronda

Tis the Season

Well here it is November already and it is getting cold outside!  We already had a little snow here in mid-Michigan!  It is that time of year to start making Christmas cards!  This year I am going to make all of mine, which is about 50 out of the Close to my Heart Tis the Season paper pack.

There are so many beautiful papers in this pack that I can not wait to get started.  If you see something that you like and would like to purchase some already made or card kits, just let me know by sending an email to rondaladuke@outlook.com.  I would be happy to help you out!

Here are some pictures of the paper pack and some other accessories I will be using.

This one here with the pine cones is my favorite paper.  It looks so beautiful with our new Candy Apple paper!  It is the color on all of these sheets.  It is such a nice bright red!

This is all of the papers in the pack together.

This is the new Candy Apple Red paper with some of the other items I will be using.  The snow flakes and buttons come in the WYW pack or you can purchase them separately!   Then I have the Tinsel twine and our new Red Pearls along with the Merry Christmas scroll stamp.

These next two are the compliments pack which also comes in the WYW or can be sold separately.  The details in these are just amazing.
Here are two more pieces of the paper.  The snow flake one is the back side of the garland piece and the other two are one piece back and front.  I can't wait to do a layout with the garland sheet!
Two more pieces, front and back!

Here is a close up of out cut apart sheet.  I see at least 5 cards being made out of this and you get two sheets so all you need is some cardstock to layer with and you have at least 10 cards done so quickly!

This is a new Thin Cut Die we have and I can't believe it is not sold out yet.  I will be cutting bunches of these in glitter paper.

Well now that you have seen some of the beautiful products I will be working with, maybe you should head over to my website and purchase some yourself.  paperdivas.ctmh.com.  In a week or so, I will make a post of all the beautiful things I have made with these products.  So come back and take a look and get your supplies so I can share my ideas with you!

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Hugs,

Ronda

Grateful Heart!

Burr!  Where did this cold weather come from?  It has been so warm out we had to turn the air on 2 days ago and now today it is so cold!  Well, I do live in Michigan!

So, in the scrap room, I have been playing with the Close to my Heart featured paper pack of the month which is Grateful Heart.  It is such a pretty pack and I absolutely love the complements that come with it.  Here are a couple of picks of it!

Don't you just love these colors?  I have just made a couple of cards so far but can not wait to do some scrapbook pages!  Here is the link to buy the Grateful Heart workshop your way!  You can buy everything separate but you really want these complements.

Here are the two cards I have made!  They are the same card but one is going to be used for a workshop and the Owl came from the complements pack so I only have one.  It will be a Birthday card for my Mom.

The sun flower comes from our Flower Market Cricut Cartridge.  Here is the link for that.

Our Cricut Cartridges are like no others!  700 images and they come with 3 stamp sets to coordinate with the cartridge!

The other products I used on these cards are:

Pomegranate, Fern and Saffron card stock and our gold pearls.  Love those pearls.
I also used the October stamp of the month on the second card and the bunches of love stamp set on the first card.

I am going to enter the Owl card in this weeks Heart to Heart Challenge- http://heart2heartchallenges.blogspot.com/2018/10/holiday-expressions-2.html

I hope you have enjoyed this post and will come back soon to see what I am up too!

October SOTM Blog Hop

Hello!  This month I am participating in the October SOTM Blog Hop!  This is my first one so I hope you love what I have to show you!  We are using this lovely stamp set only available in October.  There are so many cute pages and cards you could use this for.

You should have arrived here from Miss Carrie's Creations.   If you get lost you can find the entire list of participants on Melinda Everitt's Blog.

I have made a card for my Anniversary and I based it on the idea in our Make it from you Heart, Volume 4 idea book.  Page 27!

Everything you see stamped, inside and out is from the October Stamp of the month except for the "We are" on the inside which came from one of our Cricut Collections!

https://paperdivas.closetomyheart.com/Retail/Products.aspx?CatalogID=273.  You can see all of our How to books on this link.

The papers I used on this card are from the Boutique collection our new Peach cardstock and the Mink cardstock for the biggest Heart.  I also used the new Mink twine which comes in the Boutique WYW!  I also used our silver glitter paper and cut it in 1/8 inch strips.  The Hearts were made with two set of our thin cuts.

Here are a couple of tips I find useful.  When using your paper trimmer to cut thin strips, use washi tape to hold it in place and then so your not wasting adhesive, tape them all at one time.

The next blog on the hop is Michelle Johns.  I'm sure she has some beautiful art work to show you!

I hope you liked my card and will visit my blog again soon.  Here is a full list of the products I used:

Make it from your Heart, Volume 4- 9044
October SOTM- S1810
Mink Twine- Z4221
Hearts Basic thin cuts- Z3317
Hearts Stitched thin cuts- Z4182
Mink stamp pad- Z2825
Peach Stamp Pad- Z6502
Boutique Paper Pack- X7235B

Thin 3-D Foam Dots- Z3341

You can get all of these products and so much more on my website at Paperdivas.ctmh.com.

Hello Pumpkin!

It is October 1!  What do you think about in October?  It makes me think of leaves changing colors and everything Pumpkin.

This month at Close to my Heart, our featured Paper Pack of the month is Hello Pumpkin.  I started playing with it this weekend and it is so much fun.

I also started playing with all our new shaker products.  Here I combined the two and made these cute cards.

I'm going to enter this one in the Heart to Heart Challenge http://heart2heartchallenges.blogspot.com/2018/10/pumpkin-spice.html

I just love the colors in this paper pack.  Also the two stamp sets that go with it are so adorable.

This Hello pumpkin card making set is available with or with the die set.
There are so many cute stamps on this set.  Just look at that ghost and Kitty!

Here is a close  up of the card making set and thin cut dies!
These are the complements that come with the Workshop your way or you can buy them separately!

Here is another look at the paper pack.

These are the shaker supplies!  The die set comes with 4 thin cut dies.  Two for the shaker and two for confetti!  The circles that cut out for the confetti can also be used in cards or scrapbook pages.  They are really cute with the shapes cut out of them.
The shaker foam and acetate sets are a huge value.  You get six of each but then the rest of the foam is cut in squares for you to use as dimensionals.

Now lets not the forget about the Stamp set of the month, Thanks and Giving.  I can't wait to combine all these supplies together and make something wonderful.  I'm thinking a scrapbook page that I will put pictures from Thanksgiving on it.  I haven't used the shakers on a page yet but I think I will today!  Make sure you come back and look for it!
