Happy 2019!!!!  I hope everyone enjoyed bringing in the new year.  With this New year we have a new book starting and it is wonderful!

Last Day!

August 31 is the last day to shop out of the Close to my Heart Annual Inspirations and the Seasonal Expressions.

All of the patterned paper will be retiring.  Although we will be getting all new one's there are some that I will really miss!  This one is almost sold out and is one of my favorites!  This is the adventure line and it is just filled with water color like paper.  Just beautiful.  I'm showing you the complements too!

Next we have our Whimsey collection.  Soft and subtle!

This one is called Enchantment!  Great for school projects!

and then last we have our Basics!  I will really miss this one.  Beautiful browns and greys!

All of our papers are two sided with a different coordinating design on each side.  Even our plain cardstock has a lighter and darker side of the same color.

Documenting your life!!!

How do you document your life and family?  For me it is with pictures!  But I don't want to just leave them on my computer so no one ever see's them.  

We have a featured paper pack of the month at Close to my Heart and this month it is called Documented!  I really didn't know what I wanted to do with it so I decided after my Husband said something to me about making pages of our Camaro for some shadow boxes, that I would just use what ever pictures were in envelopes on my desk.  So I started with the Camaro pictures and then moved on to a vacation, then family and then some friends.

So basically I was using the paper to document these events and people I love.  I know a lot of girls that don't journal on there pages and to me that is one of the most important parts of scrapbooking.

Tell your story and write it down.  I don't care if my hand writing isn't that great.  I either write on a journal card or right on the page.

Here are the pages I came up with!  This first one I am going to put in a Challenge over at the Heart 2 Heart Blog. " For the love of crafting".

Monday Monday!

Well School started today for a lot of kids!  I sure am happy that those days are gone for me.  I have been busy canning tomatoes!  I did 14 jars of salsa on Saturday.  When I put them away in the basement I counted 13 more jars from an earlier batch this year and from last year.  I think that will last me and I will be giving some away.

I grow a lot of herbs and dry them and then I store them in mushroom jars in the basement.  So at any time all summer long you will see herbs drying around the house.  Yesterday I ground some up for my son.  He loves the red pepper flakes and one plant gives you so many peppers.  I hang them in my kitchen window.  It goes with my south western décor!  Once they are dry or a while later because I like them hanging there, I will put them in a gallon bag in the basement.

The lighting wasn't very good for the peppers but they do look pretty hanging up there.

My son is getting Sweet Basil, Hot Red Pepper, Sage and Rosemary.  I left some of the Sage and Rosemary whole.  I love the flavor that a whole sprig of Rosemary gives a roast.  I just lay it on top.  In the summer of course it is a fresh sprig.

Paper Fundamentals

Happy Saturday!  What a rainy day!  I'm about to go make a batch of super hot salsa to can but before I do I wanted to remind you that the Annual Inspirations and the seasonal expressions books are retiring in 6 days!

We will no longer have any of the Paper Fundamentals!  The new book coming out on September 1 will contain new products and it will combine the products that are usually in the Annual book with products in the Holiday expressions!

Every 4 months we will get a new Expressions book that will carry over products that would usually be in the Annual book.  I'm really excited that we will just have one book to go through.  On your first order of each new book on my website you can get a free book.  Just simply add it to your cart.
