Yesterday and Today!

Well April is here and in mid Michigan we finally had a couple days of nice weather.  I got outside and did a little garden clean up.  What have you been doing while cooped up at home?

Today I want to share Close to my Hearts paper pack and accessories "Yesterday and Today".  I have made a couple of layouts and a few cards.  I just love to scrapbook old photos.  They always look so elegant.  I have not put any photos on my layouts yet.  I have some boxes to go through to find just the right ones.  Take a look!

Isn't this just beautiful?  I just love it and once I put pictures on it, I will add some more flowers around them.  I will list the links and products that I used at the bottom of my post!

This next one I designed with our new Cricut Cartridge called Everyday Moments.

What do you think about this one?  I really think it is much prettier in person.  I added peach cardstock for some of the accents to give it a pop of color.  I will probably put 2 photos in the long section on the right.

If you have a Cricut Explore or Maker, you really need to check out this cartridge.  It is amazing.  It doesn't look like a lot when you first see it but you have to imagine all of the pieces that you ungroup and cut on there own.  Here is the link to buy it https://cricut.com/en_us/close-to-my-heart.html.

Now I will share the cards that I made with the yesterday and today and the March stamp of the month!

This one is using the March stamp of the month with some heat embossing and a little shimmer trim.

This one I used our shaker thin cuts, foam and acetate along with some sequins.

This last one is from our Yesterday and Today card Workshop your way kit.  You get everything you need to make 16 cards with envelopes.

I hope you enjoyed looking at my artwork.  You can still get most of these items through the end of April.  Check out the links below.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend.  Be safe, stay home and scrapbook!

CTMH December Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Close to my Heart Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!

This hop will go around in a Circle!  If you get lost, just click here Melinda's page for a complete list of names and blogs so you can get back on track!

You should have arrived from Alyson's.  If you did then you are in the right place and I hope you enjoyed her artwork!

When I saw this stamp set, I just knew that I would have to make a Christmas layout for pictures of the Grandkids.  I can't wait to take the perfect pictures ( I hope I can ).  Here is my Layout!

I had so much fun creating this page and I love the way it turned out.  I used the Cedar and Pine paper, sticker sheet and Compliments for most of it.  I cut the presents out of a sheet from the Holly Jolly paper.  My base pages are French Vanilla!  I fussy cut the Deer and the Sleigh and colored them with our alcohol markers.  The Believe sticker I placed on Sangria paper and then cut it out.

I bet you want to know about my tree!  I got this idea from page 19 of the Nov./ Dec. book.  I used the Cedar and Pine Scrapbooking stamp set, D1878 to create it and then I decorated in with the red Holly Jolly dots.

I used Evergreen for my photo mats and red shimmer trim across the center of the page.

Here is the picture from the book of the layout sample.

I hope you enjoyed my layout, all of the products I used can be found in our Nov/ Dec. book and are available through the end of December while supplies last except for the red shimmer trim, cardstock and inks and markers.  They are all available in our annual book.

You can visit my web page at paperdivas.ctmh.com.

Now on to Brenda's blog for more amazing artwork.

Thank you for hopping with us today!

October Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Welcome to the October Stamp of the Month Blog Hop, Autumn Air!  This hop will circle around several Consultants blogs so just sit back, relax and enjoy the beautiful artwork.  Here is a complete list of all of the blogs incase you get lost along the way.  Just click here for the complete list !

You should have arrived from Jessica Kaiser blog, if so then your in the right place!

I decided this was the perfect stamp set for a layout and I enjoyed making it so much.  I used the Hawthorn paper collection along with the light side of Toffee for the base pages.  I hope you like it!

I used sapphire, sage and paprika for the stamping.  Do you see the sapphire stamping just above the saffron pieces on the bottom of both sides?  I really like that little stamp.  It just added a little color.  I layered the leaves around the stamping of summer and fall to give them some dimension.

I really love using different sizes of photo's on my layouts and I use Persnickety prints to print all of my photos.  They have so many options and the photo's are wonderful quality.

I can use the 3 x 4 spot for a photo or put a PML card there and do some journaling.  I still have room for more embellishing too with maybe some wooden leaves.  I used some sequins around my leaves from the craft on collection of shaker sequins.  Here is a nice picture of the stamp set.

I just love it!  I will put the links below for all of the products that I have used but for now you will be moving on to Janet Royer's blog.  I hope you enjoy the rest of your journey on this blog hop!

Share the Season's Blog Hop

You have arrived her from Judy Faye Gamer blog.
Welcome to the Close to my Heart Share the Seasons Blog Hop!
The possibilities with this set are so endless!  If you get lost while cruising the hop just click here to get the complete list.
Here are a couple of cards I have made with this set along with the New Hawthorn paper and a retired Christmas pack called Tis the Season!
For the Christmas card I used Cranberry paper (also retired) to cut out the base square piece and then I used White Daisy to cut the largest frame from our rectangle thin cuts.  I used our now retired Alcohol markers to color in some of the stamps.  Don't forget to check out our new markers!

Keep scrolling to see the next two cards!
In the picture of the rectangular thin cuts the white pieces will give you a solid piece, I use that with a smaller one in a different color for the inside of my card.

On my next card I used the fall stamps, I used our new Hawthorn paper along with Saffron and our new Paprika ink!  I love the piece of paper I used for the frame on this one.
To show use how endless the possibilities are I made another card with our new Every Little thing paper pack!  I just love how it turned out.
I used our new Wisteria paper with the black Frame and the September Stamp of the month!  Which is awesome.  I hope you enjoyed my cards and don't forget to look at all of the other blogs on the hop!

The next persons blog is Alyson Mayo.

Grateful Heart!

Burr!  Where did this cold weather come from?  It has been so warm out we had to turn the air on 2 days ago and now today it is so cold!  Well, I do live in Michigan!

So, in the scrap room, I have been playing with the Close to my Heart featured paper pack of the month which is Grateful Heart.  It is such a pretty pack and I absolutely love the complements that come with it.  Here are a couple of picks of it!

Don't you just love these colors?  I have just made a couple of cards so far but can not wait to do some scrapbook pages!  Here is the link to buy the Grateful Heart workshop your way!  You can buy everything separate but you really want these complements.

Here are the two cards I have made!  They are the same card but one is going to be used for a workshop and the Owl came from the complements pack so I only have one.  It will be a Birthday card for my Mom.

The sun flower comes from our Flower Market Cricut Cartridge.  Here is the link for that.

Our Cricut Cartridges are like no others!  700 images and they come with 3 stamp sets to coordinate with the cartridge!

The other products I used on these cards are:

Pomegranate, Fern and Saffron card stock and our gold pearls.  Love those pearls.
I also used the October stamp of the month on the second card and the bunches of love stamp set on the first card.

I am going to enter the Owl card in this weeks Heart to Heart Challenge- http://heart2heartchallenges.blogspot.com/2018/10/holiday-expressions-2.html

I hope you have enjoyed this post and will come back soon to see what I am up too!

Hugs,  Ronda

This one is called Enchantment!  Great for school projects!

and then last we have our Basics!  I will really miss this one.  Beautiful browns and greys!

All of our papers are two sided with a different coordinating design on each side.  Even our plain cardstock has a lighter and darker side of the same color.

Documenting your life!!!

How do you document your life and family?  For me it is with pictures!  But I don't want to just leave them on my computer so no one ever see's them.

We have a featured paper pack of the month at Close to my Heart and this month it is called Documented!  I really didn't know what I wanted to do with it so I decided after my Husband said something to me about making pages of our Camaro for some shadow boxes, that I would just use what ever pictures were in envelopes on my desk.  So I started with the Camaro pictures and then moved on to a vacation, then family and then some friends.

So basically I was using the paper to document these events and people I love.  I know a lot of girls that don't journal on there pages and to me that is one of the most important parts of scrapbooking.

Tell your story and write it down.  I don't care if my hand writing isn't that great.  I either write on a journal card or right on the page.

Here are the pages I came up with!  This first one I am going to put in a Challenge over at the Heart 2 Heart Blog. " For the love of crafting".

This one is some pictures of our trip to South Haven!

Here is the car one!
This one is of my Sister and Brother in laws trip here in Michigan!

This one is of Friends from High School and my Work at the Post Office.

I really like the way they all turned out.  I hope you do to!  Would you like help documenting your story?  I would love to help!  Shoot me a message and check out all we have to offer at Close to my Heart.  You will love our products.

All for the love of paper!

Memorial weekend

Happy Wednesday!  It has been a while since I have posted so I thought I would share what has been going on.  I have my veggie garden all planted.  Half of it is a raised bed.  I haven't taken a picture of it with the plants in it.  But this is what it looks like prepped and ready to plant.

Next year there will be another cinder block raised bed on the other side.  Thanks to my mom and my compost bin, this bed has tons of wonderfully screened compost in it.  I bought 9 bags of organic garden soil to help fill it up.  At the end of the garden is my strawberry bed.  Hopefully it will quit raining soon so the strawberries will ripen and the veggie plants won't die!

The plants are loaded with blooms and berries right now.  So come on warm sunshine.  Normally I would spend this weekend planting my gardens but now all I have to do is plant a few flowers and do a little clean up in some of the beds.

Tomorrow I am having 5 or 6 girls over for a scrapbooking/ card making crop/ workshop.  Here are a couple of the layouts they will be doing with the Live Beautifully paper pack for National scrapbooking month.

Please visit my website for more information of this paper pack at paperdivas.ctmh.com.  There is also a beautiful stamp set which is picture in the next photo.

And while you are shopping don't forget to pick up the awesome stamp set of the month for only $5 with a $50 purchase.

I hope you all have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend.  don't forget to say a prayer for a fallen soldier!

Hugs, Ronda
